The Diaspora Institute
2025The identity for The Diaspora Institute explores the idea of borderless belonging — reflecting the experience of people who leave one place yet remain connected through shared heritage and identity. A fingerprint motif sits at the heart of the design, symbolising the deeply personal nature of diaspora. Within it, subtle references to migratory birds evoke themes of movement, connection and return, linking the symbol with the typographic identity and extending into animation. The visual language balances warmth and emotion with a sense of institutional trust, creating an elegant identity suited to both human-centred storytelling and the policy environments in which the Institute operates.
